Purple Haze
Purple Haze
Every print pulled from this board is a séance — you never know exactly who's going to show up. This time, it was Jimi.
Purple Haze was made with the song running loud in the studio, and the track's DNA is all over the canvas. The composition works in negative space the way Hendrix worked in feedback: black ink fracturing across white like distortion breaking over silence, deep violet ghosting the rails. And scattered through it all, flashes of teal, yellow, and purple — little bursts of color that arrive without warning, the visual equivalent of a bent note escaping the fretboard.
The print carries the full anatomy of the board that made it: the twin fin nose, the stringer's spine, every ding and pressure crack recorded honestly. Damage becomes composition. Wear becomes texture. The board kept a diary and this is a page from it.
'Scuse me while I kiss the sky.
